Red Hook Summer (2012) Movie Story:
Flik Royale, a middle-class kid in a bad mood in Atlanta, has come to spend the summer with his deeply religious grandfather, Bishop Rouse in the housing projects of Red Hook Enoch. Having never seen before, things quickly turn the left foot as Bishop Enoch Flik tries tirelessly to make a follower of Jesus Christ. Between the constant preaching of his grandfather and the culture shock from the center of urban life, the summer seems Flik a total disaster – until he meets Chazz Morningstar, a pretty girl of her age, which shows the brighter side Flik Brooklyn. Through his love and his love for his grandfather, Flik begins to realize that the world is much bigger, and perhaps much better than I ever imagined. In another point of view we can say that a middle-class kid from Atlanta is his world view changed when passing the summer with his grandfather in the housing projects of deep religious feelings of Red Hook, Brooklyn.
